We are already at the end of 2025’s first month, and here are a few things that have caught our attention within the first four weeks!

Starting off with music, we’ve been eating well. With drops from The Weeknd, Central Cee, Bad Bunny, and Rema (Honestly including Rema is just me manifesting that snippet of his drops, cuz we need that!!). Me personally, I’ve been blasting the Bad Bunny’s new album “Debí Tirar Más Fotos”. Now I’d never claim to understand everything he’s saying, but the overall rhythm of the album feels creative, daring, and thrilling. I’ve always found myself attracted to his songs, which seem like they blend reguetón with electronic or salsa. Like “BAILE INoLVIDABLE” for example after the mini intro in the first minute, you’ll feel like dancing regardless if you understand the lyrics. If you do understand the lyrics, you recognize the overarching theme of the album confronts the gentrification of Puerto Rico visualized in his short film showcasing the youth community maintaining the history of the island. You should’ve seen my face when I translated “DTmF.”, almost balled my eyes out. Central Cee and the Weeknd followed up with new releases but Sade has been slowly creeping into my rotation after seeing a reel of Rema sampling “Is It A Crime” so I’m manifesting that it comes out early February.

Some great visuals that caught my eye come in films and music videos. MVs from artists like Asake, Eem Triplin and a trailer from the movie “OPUS”, a psychological thriller that explores themes of obsession, celebrity worship, and artistic legacy. The story follows Ariel Ecton (played by Ayo Edebiri), a rising journalist who receives an exclusive invitation to the secluded estate of Alfred Moretti (John Malkovich), a legendary pop star who mysteriously vanished from the public eye 30 years ago.
